MatchWise.com, is committed to creating a safe and secure online environment where members can connect comfortably and anonymously with other members. Our system has many built-in safeguards, but we ask that members take extreme care whenever supplying personal information to other members in their email messages. For instance, their telephone number and even their external email address can usually be traced to their home address.   That's why we supply our own internal email system, which is secure and non-traceable to the member by other members.

MatchWise, Inc. collects personal information from our members in order to provide appropriate matching information and responsive customer service. We will not share your personal information with any other member or entity. Our security certificate is regularly reviewed and authorized by Thawte.

Information Collected on this Web Site

Our web server automatically collects some information about you when you request pages from our server, including your IP address. We do this by placing a cookie on your hard drive. A cookie is simply an HTTP header which contains text information, such as the domain, path and other variables the website sets. Your IP address is a number that is used by computers on the network to identify your computer so that data (such as the web pages you request) can be sent to you. Our computer uses IP addresses to block individuals from registering from other countries or those we have terminated as members for inappropriate use. This IP information does not, however, contain anything that can identify you personally and is used for no other purpose.

Cookies are also used.  Cookies simply keep your online registration alive as you move from page to page in the site.  Without cookies you would have to log in again and again.  We do not use cookies to track your activities on the internet.  Our cookies expire as soon as you log out or within an hour if you left the site without logging out.
