I love Jesus and want to live a life to which He will someday say "Well done good and faithful servant." I was raised in an in-name-only Christian home, meaning that we went to church on Christmas and Easter and that was about it. I remember strongly disliking church as a child because I was overweight and the other boys would pick on me. When my family stopped attending that was perfectly fine with me. Several years later my sister became a Christian through her friend, who had been taking her to their youth group. She then started inviting me and I got saved a few months later. That was 16 years ago and it has been an interesting ride, to say the least. I have had many high and low points, but through it all God has always been there for me. I look forward to telling people about what He has done in my life. If nothing else we can encourage each other in the Lord. =D I attend the small Foursquare Gospel church that I was saved in, after having recently moved back to my hometown after being away for several years. The church was closed down in early '06 and was reopened in the spring of last year. I spent a couple of years not really feeling like I had a church home when it was closed, and when I heard it was reopening I felt beyond any doubt that I needed to go back and be a part of what God is going to do there. I am very excited to see what will happen. Whether its slow steady growth, the kind of revival that was seen in Acts 2, or somewhere in between remains to be seen but I'm sure it will be good.

I am a social worker who works with adults with disabilities, helping them develop life skills. I find this work very rewarding. My goals are to continue to advance in the field. I can see myself assuming an administrative job eventually. I am beginning to save money to buy a property to build a house on. I am also hoping to eventually have someone to join me there. =D

I'm the essential phlegmatic-meloncholy, to use the old Four Temperaments classification method. Easy going, laid back, and with a definite introverted side. I love being with people but at the same time I find it a bit draining. Spending time alone, or with a few close friends, is really what recharges my batteries.

I will put this out there right now, I dont tend to get along well with strong choleric personalities. I think they tend to see me as apathetic and lazy and I tend to view them as pushy and overbearing. I tend to gravitate more towards people, in friendships as well as romantic relationships, who are more of the sanguine personality type. They tend to add some excitement to steady but often boring me, and I can contribute some stability to their fun but often chaotic world. =p

Arrogance, unkindness, and perpetual business. Anyone who is rude and/or cannot take time to relax and smell the roses. Is that the only quirky question? Laying on a hammock, under the shade of a palm tree, on a white sandy beach, with a cool beverage in my hand. Have any pets? Why yes I do! I have a cat, as you see in my picture. Its an orange long haired tabby and his name is Hobbes, the cartoon tiger not the philosopher. Like to travel? Why, I'm glad you asked! I have been to three other countries outside the US. I visited the Bahamas for a few days on a vacation, but unfortunately didnt see much other than the touristy part of Nassau. I lived in Jamaica for a year as an exchange student. It was a big change for a country boy like me to live in a big city like Kingston for a year, but overall it was a good experience. Ya mon! Nuff respect fi di Jamaicans! Oh, and I also lived in Canada for about three years while attending college. I love traveling and hope to do some more, hopefully outside of North America next time.
